Fast Boat to Gili Trawangan

We had to check out early today so we didn’t get to have breakfast at the villa. The driver came to pick us up around 7am and  he also picked up a few other passengers around Ubud before heading to Padang Bai.

I was sleeping the whole time and we finally arrived at Padang Bai at 9am. We paid for our ticket about RM250 return ticket for 2pax. Quite cheap than the others that we surveyed.

We board the boat at 10am. I was super nervous on how it would feel but it was amazing. We get to go to the upper deck where people are sitting under the scorching sun. Definitely not for me. NOPE!

We took pictures and headed down to our seat and sleep the whole journey. We arrived at Gili Trawangan at 1 pm. We took a Cidomo (Horse Cart) to our place to stay.

Here comes the trouble where the owner of the place says that our booking didn’t get through. He was polite enough to find us a place to stay just opposite his place and ensure the price is the same. We agrees and get to stay in two different place in Gili.

The house style is “Lumbung Style” where the roof is triangle shaped and open bathroom where you can look at the stars while having your bath.

Both place is nice and they served breakfast and free bicycle rental. We rent bicycle and ride around the island. Had our lunch near the jetty and ride around and get lost too. Finally, we found the famous Ombak Sunset Swing.

We stopped by for some pictures but couldn’t go into the water since we didn’t bring any extra cloth for change. We watch the sunset and took pictures before heading back.

Since the road is confusing and not much light, we decided to go back to our room before dark. We were very hungry later that night so we asked for some hot water to eat instant noodle before going to bed.
